My wife and I each traded up to the 550 after owning a pair of '07 450's. The improvement in the ride and steering is phenomenal.
We do a lot of rocky trail riding and the occurances of kickbacks have been greatly reduced. The general comfort of the machine is just what you would expect from a Polaris.
One thing I have noticed is that sometimes you get an exhaust odor coming from the front of the engine, not a problem unless you are moving very slowly through obstacles, then you get a good dose of exhaust.
